Maxis Business x Triple Access: NextGen Hospitality Tech Talk Paves the Way for Smarter, Safer, and More Connected Hospitality

Kuala Lumpur, 22 October 2025 — The hospitality industry is evolving rapidly, driven by the demand for smarter, safer, and more connected guest experiences. To support this transformation, Maxis Business, in collaboration with Triple Access, hosted the Tech Talk: NextGen Hospitality at the Maxis Business Innovation Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

The half-day event gathered professionals from hotels, hospitals, and stadiums, sparking valuable discussions on how IoT, AI, and modern communication systems can elevate operational efficiency, strengthen safety, and enhance guest satisfaction in hospitality environments.

A Shared Vision for Connected Hospitality

The event began with welcome remarks by Marvin Liong, Head of IoT Practice, Maxis Business, and Albert Nombres, Head of Business Development, Channels, Motorola Solutions. Both speakers highlighted a shared mission — empowering businesses through reliable communication and intelligent connectivity that enable real-time coordination and decision-making.

They emphasized how modern hospitality depends on connected ecosystems, where data, voice, and video come together to deliver not only convenience but also operational resilience and guest trust.

Exploring the Core of Digital Hospitality Transformation

The morning continued with Ahmemah M. Salleh, IoT Solution Architect at Maxis Business, who presented “Network and IoT Integration for Hospitality.” She explored how IoT infrastructure enables smarter hotels through automation, energy optimization, and data-driven guest experiences.

Following that, Wan Muhammad Hafidzi, Corporate Solutions Manager at Triple Access, led “Hospitality Security in Focus: Challenges and Needs.” His session unpacked the communication barriers that often exist between departments and how Motorola Solutions’ technology — including the WAVE PTX platform — addresses those gaps through unified, reliable, and instantaneous team communication.

After a short networking break, Ravindra Kumar, Cloud Solution Architect at Maxis Business, shared his insights on “AI-Enabled Infrastructure for Digital Hospitality.” He discussed how artificial intelligence and cloud-driven insights can personalize services, improve facility management, and predict guest needs before they arise.

Showcasing Seamless Communication with WAVE PTX

The highlight of the event was the live product demonstration by Aisac Ng, Senior Product Manager, and Muhammad Safwan, Technical Specialist from Triple Access. The session showcased the Motorola Solutions WAVE PTX platform in action — demonstrating how the system connects smartphones, radios like TLK100i and RG170, and the WAVE PTX Dispatcher into one secure communication ecosystem.

Attendees saw firsthand how WAVE PTX enables instant push-to-talk communication, group messaging, and image and video sharing, ensuring teams stay connected across departments and locations. This solution proved particularly valuable for hospitality environments where speed, coordination, and clarity are critical.

Meaningful Outcomes and Collaboration

The event concluded with closing remarks by Kamal Affendey, Director of Enterprise Sales, Triple Access, followed by a showcase of Motorola Solutions for Hotels – Smart & Safety Surveillance.

Participants left with key takeaways, including:

  • A clearer understanding of how IoT, AI, and PoC communication redefine connected hospitality.
  • Actionable ideas for enhancing safety, operations, and guest satisfaction through technology.
  • Opportunities for cross-industry collaboration to accelerate digital transformation.

The day ended with a networking lunch at Imperial Chakri Palace KLCC, where attendees continued the conversation over authentic Thai cuisine, exchanging insights and exploring partnership opportunities.
