Initially launched in Bangalore, the company recently acquired Swiggy’s Access Kitchen business and now operates approximately 700 kitchens across 45 locations in major Indian cities, including Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Noida, and Gurgaon.

Loyal Hospitality supports a diverse range of clients, from Indian restaurants to renowned food chains like Domino’s, Subway, Taco Bell, ChicKing, Mainland China, Barbeque Nation, and Nando’s. Customers place orders through platforms like Swiggy and Zomato or directly from virtual restaurants, with food prepared in delivery-optimized kitchens and dispatched by drivers. This innovative model eliminates the need for dining rooms and front-of-house staff, enabling cost-effective and efficient operations.

The company goes beyond just designing and building these kitchens. It ensures compliance with strict food and hygiene regulations, offers infrastructure and equipment support, and provides ongoing operational assistance. The Challenge

As Loyal Hospitality expanded its footprint post-acquisition of Swiggy’s Access Kitchen, its existing Public Mobile Radio Trunking Service (PMRTS) was no longer sufficient. This service, limited to Bangalore, could not support pan-India operations or the seamless communication required to coordinate 700 kitchens across six cities. Effective communication became especially critical during new launches, such as six kitchens in Chennai and five in Hyderabad.

Additionally, the company faced the following challenges:

  • Limited manpower to manage complex radio systems.
  • Difficulty obtaining radio frequencies for broader coverage.
  • The need for a flexible, scalable, and easy-to-manage communication solution.

The Solution

Following a successful trial, Loyal Hospitality began implementing the WAVE PTX system across its operations in India. Key steps included:

  1. Device Preparation and Deployment:
    Arya Omnitalk configured TLK 100 WAVE PTX portable radios with LTE-enabled SIM cards and assigned them to predefined users, allowing visibility of caller IDs. Devices could also be reassigned or renamed remotely.
  2. Team Allocation:
    TLK 100 devices were distributed to managers (two per hub), project management teams, maintenance teams, and hygiene and operations teams. The central control room also leveraged WAVE PTX to monitor CCTV footage and expedite order flow.
  3. Operational Usage:
    The system operates daily from 6 AM to 3 AM, primarily for group voice communications, ensuring real-time coordination and business-wide visibility.
  4. Real-World Applications:
    • Reporting maintenance issues, such as gas leaks or faulty equipment.
    • Monitoring equipment deliveries.
    • Addressing hygiene issues.
    • Ensuring order acceptance within a strict 30-second window to meet delivery speed targets.
  5. Future Enhancements:
    Loyal Hospitality plans to explore advanced functionalities, including multimedia messaging, individual calling, safety features, and voice recording. Integration with iOS and Android devices is also under consideration.
